G'day. Short version: we only grab the info we need to get your gear to ya, run your account and stay on the right side of the law - and we never flog your details to anyone. Here's the full rundown, in plain English, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who's "we"?

This policy covers Billy Mate - that's us, the Billy Mate crew ("we", "us", "our") - based at 167 Airds Rd, Minto NSW 2566, Australia, and the website billymate.com.au.

What we collect

Stuff you give us: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, and your account or order details when you sign up, buy something, bid in an auction, join Billy Bucks, post in the Shed or get in touch.
Payment info: used to complete your order. We don't hang onto full card numbers any longer than needed to process your order, and sensitive card data is encrypted.
Age tick: we record that you've confirmed you're 18 or over.
Collected automatically: device, browser, IP address and usage data, picked up via cookies and similar tech to run and improve the site.

What we do with it

Process and deliver your orders, and sort out returns and refunds;
Run your account, your Billy Bucks wallet, auctions and rewards;
Help you out and answer your questions;
Sniff out and stop fraud, and keep the site secure;
Make the products, service and website better; and
Send you marketing only if you've opted in - and you can pull the pin (unsubscribe) any time.

When we share it

We don't sell your personal info. Full stop. We only share it where it's needed, with:

Delivery partners (like Australia Post) to actually ship your order;
Payment providers to process your transaction;
Service providers that help us run the joint (hosting, analytics and reviews, including Google, which powers the reviews display);
Regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.

Cookies (not the edible kind)

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and your age confirmation, and understand how the site's used. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though a few bits might not work without them.

Keeping it safe & how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect your info from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we only keep it as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax and consumer-law record-keeping).

Billy Mate is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect info from anyone under 18 - fair's fair.
